We Teach Swimming

OUR WINNING PROGRAM!

The WETS utilizes the Canadian Red Cross Swim Program which emphasizes strong stokes and endurance as well as Water Safety in 3 age levels: http://www.redcross.ca/article.asp?id=881&tid=024

  • Red Cross Swim Pre-School – ages 6 Months to 5 years
  • Red Cross Swim Kids – ages 6 – 12 years
  • Red Cross Swim for Adults & Teens
  • Aqua Squirts (intro. to Synchronized swimming) – ages 7 - 11 www.aquasquirts.ca
  • Red Cross Leadership Courses including Assisted Water Safety Instructor and Water Safety Instructor

WETS also teaching the Swim Patrol and Bronze Star levels of the LifeSaving Society. www.lifesavings.bc.ca

But the unique WETS differences are:

  • Small classes (4-5 per instructor)
  • Five week terms (except for Spring Break and Summer term)
  • Streamlined teaching methods for all instruction (continuity between instructors!)
  • Strategic daily lesson plans structured around four SIMPLE categories of movement: buoyancy - streamlining - breath-control - propulsion
  • Warm water facilities

Our Program Distinctives

WETS utilizes the successful Canadian Red Cross SWIM KIDS program and is a member of the LifeSaving Society, enabling us to offer all levels of LifeSaving courses. In addition, AquaSquirts is our popular beginning synchronized swim program. For students thinking of entering the exciting world of competitive swimming, we also offer a Pre-Swim Club program.
