Our Instructors

 

Ashley Buechler

With referee training, an experienced coach and a teacher by profession, Ashley will be a great addition to our soccer program. Having recently relocated to Kelowna this past June, she has been quick in getting involved here in the soccer community. Originally from Winnipeg, she was involved in many aspects of the soccer community there. Starting out as a player, Ashley has played at many levels of soccer, including the provincial teams participating at the Canadian nationals, as well as playing for the University of Manitoba team. Ashley continues to play soccer here in Kelowna and looks forward to many more years of enjoyment from the sport and hopes to pass on that passion to all of the WeTS participants. Ashley enjoys working with young soccer players and has proven teaching credentials for We Teach Soccer to utilize.

 

Jackie Ostash

Jackie brings a great soccer and fitness background to the WeTs program. A very experienced soccer player, starting out early winning three Provincial Gold titles with Nelson Select Soccer, Jackie has trained at the Vogelsinger Soccer Academy at the University of Santa Barbra CA and continued with varsity soccer and basketball for UBCO as well as for Trinity Western University. In her spare time, she participated as a player in the Pacific Coast Soccer League on various teams, the Okanagan Predators, Athletes in Action and the Portland Stars. Most Importantly, Jackie brings a big Soccer Camp background to WeTS, having been employed as a Trainer/Coach at the NBC Sports Camps (soccer and basketball) throughout various campus's in Washington, Oregon and California for 4 years. Jackie is excited to bring her soccer playing and training experience to We Teach Soccer.

 

David Broadhurst

12 years coaching with the Manchester United Soccer Schools at international coaching projects in the UK, Japan and Switzerland.
Head Coach for South East Derbyshire College 2007/08 Derby County FC player until the age of 18
Semi-professional playing career until move to Canada in 2008

 

Jan Prochazka

Raised in Sweden Jan played for 3 National Championship titles and played professional football for IFK Gothenburg, before accepting a scholarship at NCAA div 1. University of San Diego, California.

Here he helped the team to a national top 10 ranking as well as two upsets of the Number 1 ranked team. After finishing his degree and started his coaching career, Jan traveled to Australia and helped individual players improving their soccer skills. Back in Sweden, he completed his UEFA A and B coaching licenses, while coaching a youth team in Savedalens IF, where he also played on the senior team. Jan has worked and developed kids' soccer skills in Kelowna the past few years, mainly working as a technical staff member for Kelowna United as well as currently taking on the head coach role for Rutland Youth Soccer. In his free time, Jan is also a member of the Okanagan Challenge and aided the team to clinch a playoff berth this past season.
